On its 25th anniversary, gA issues its 5th Sustainability Report

Miami, October 2017 – gA issued its 5th Sustainability Report, providing information on the organization’s the economic, social and environmental performance of in 2016 and progress it has made toward meeting sustainable development commitments assumed under the United Nations Global Compact.

“We proudly present the fifth Sustainability Report in which we express our commitment to fulfill the highest standards in the area of sustainability: Global Reporting Initiative and United Nations Global Compact,” said Roberto Wagmaister, gA founder and CEO. He added: “The reporting process allows us to follow a path more systematically through the use of management indicators and detection of improvement opportunities within all of the areas of the company with the aim of meeting the goals of the 2020 strategic plan.”

Drafted in line with the G4 standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Report is divided into three sections titled Community, Environment and Business.

Illustrating its commitment to business, gA highlights the launch of Parabolt (the digital disruption incubator), the consolidation of its US office and publication of the book “Digital Ecosystems”, the second research report issued by the Center for Digital Business Transformation. With regard to the environment, the development of the Travel Request application is emphasized in order to streamline of employee travel, the 23 alliances with organizations and the “Green + Company” certification awarded to gA Tandil by the Asociación Civil Punto Verde. Finally, gA’s commitment to the Community is highlighted in 31 strategic alliances, involving 371 volunteers, who donated 1,433 hours, in addition to investment of USD 173,218 in social development projects.

gA’s 2020 Strategic Sustainability Plan sets long-term performance goals to orient the company’s sustainability management efforts. The plan reflects the company’s vision and is comprised of nine specific commitments arising from its three differentiators, Technology, Education and Knowledge, fueling transformative economic, environmental and social changes needed to achieve positive sustainability.
