Key IT executive Antonio Ferradaz joins gA’s (US team) as Strategic Client Executive

Miami, January 2017 — gA (grupo Assa) – leader in digital business transformation – appointed Antonio Ferradaz, as Strategic Client Executive based out of the US Headquarters office in Miami. A recognized business leader with 35 years of experience, diversified across information technology, manufacturing, organizational development and consulting, Antonio brings to his position, significant expertise in LifeSciences. Ferradaz will be responsible for strategic customer initiatives that deliver “value-added” services by leveraging gA’s solution-driven capabilities and execution of client business initiatives.

Before joining gA, Mr. Ferradaz served as the C-level Head of Information Technology for Johnson & Johnson, leading the Commercial Medical Devices and Technical Shared Services for Latin America. In this capacity, he was accountable for the support of business execution franchises in Global Surgery, LifeScan and Global Orthopedics. Beyond his corporate accomplishments, Mr. Ferradaz established and led the Latin America Medical Device Council and was a member of the Americas Medical Device IT Senior Leadership Team.

His long list of undertakings at J&J included developing and implementing an IT organizational model aligned with business structure, strategic definition and integration of acquisitions and divestitures including Synthes Inc., Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Cordis Corporation and Mentor. 
Prior to J&J Latin America, Mr. Ferradaz held multiple executive positions in Information Management, Manufacturing Operations, and Business Process Excellence for multinational developers and manufacturers of medical devices such as Cordis (Miami and New Jersey).

Mr. Ferradaz completed graduate studies in engineering and financial management at the University of Florida, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He is a member of CIO Network, Continental Who’s Who, Society of Hispanic Engineers (SHPE), Business Networking International (BNI) and HITEC (Hispanic IT Executive Council.)
